People in my new neck of the woods must be pretty good drivers?
Fiddled around online with my car insurance since I have a new jerb, moved across the country for it, drive a bit more etc... I now have a special kind of government contract which symbolizes stability and makes all kinds of insurance companies (health, household, etc.) offer rebates. So I added that, got a little discount but was a bit underwhelmed. I then entered my new place of residence, and it really dropped. From € 715 and some change per year to 595! Including the new job that’s about 200 less. Most of it coming from moving from a rural part in the outskirts of Munich to Rügen in the Baltic Sea.
I kinda see where this is coming from. People from southern Bavaria are almost Italian in their driving style, whereas the northern Germans are more of the “slow and steady” type.

That and I’m guessing your new Land is less populated and skews older demographically.
